This is not the right framing. Women are evolved to be attracted to the V-shaped body which is associated with testosterone and athleticism, and men are attracted to a waist-to-hip ratio of about.7, which is associated with fertility and good health. As far as men's thickness preference, there's some evidence that this depends on circumstance, where in more resource-scarce environments, men like thicker women, but in more plentiful environments, they like them thinner.

It's been my experience that most women like skinny guys. If a woman is fat she thinks being with a skinny guy legitimizes her and makes her not fat anymore.
