If i’ve never had a partner, should I settle for less?

i don’t think i have high standards but i’m nearly 17 and haven’t been able to find a partner.

the things i find a requirement in a guy is :

• keep a convo going ( have to be able to connect with him not just talk for the sake of talking )

• dresses normally (no extreme styles that could physically put me off)

• if we are out together or with friends i want to be talked to and shown interest

• don’t want to be rushed into anything sexual ASAP

• doesn’t raise red flags (talking bad about ex partners, getting mad if i take a few hours to respond if i’m busy, trauma dumping, gets into fights or doesn’t have life goals)

• someone that looks like they actually enjoy being around me and doesn’t see me as an object

i don’t care about body (i like any body type, nothing extreme though), physical appearance isn’t a massive thing i care about either (as long as i think he looks nice and takes care of himself), i don’t care about money or status and i don’t like guys who are into crime or have no future

And yes they're going to try to have sex remember 9 out of 10 guys that's all they want you for so you have to learn how to read guys eyes their body language their tone of voice the way they look at you and everything about them because they will tell you the truth in the same breath that they're lying to you in and that's going to be many many times


Don't be in such a big hurry that's the last thing you want just take your time and you pick the guy and remember you're the boss there's going to come a point in time where you're going to want to have sex do not have it if there's no condoms are you are protected do not even do it because the odds are you're going to get pregnant

If you go out with a boy and he says he loves you and you love him a boy will not want to have unprotected sex with somebody they love they want to protect them just like you would want to protect him so remember you are always the boss no matter what just take your time things will happen for you

I was 16 and a half I know what you're kind of going through and I got lucky I my cousin introduced me to a 19 year old college girl and what the story but anyway yeah

And remember this too when you get together with a guy he'll tell you if you just wants to have sex with you if you really likes you and wants to date you


Because nowadays guys are all the same they're going to get on for 2 minutes they'll be done they'll be all packed up and out the door before you even said are we ready. If you're going to lose you virginity make sure it's well worth it you don't want to be heartbroken

Here is the thing a real relationship is a two way street if you have a lot to offer then you better have standards. But for entitled brats who don’t have anything they are going to be waiting a VERY long time and they would never be happy even if they found that person.

You’re requirements aren’t that bad but it’s not only for your own sake. Don’t waste your time or the time or someone else if you’re not genuinely attracted. You both deserve to find someone who genuinely wants you. You’re not only hurting you but someone else as well.

You’re going. You have time. Take it slow and you’re more happy single then miserable with someone

You are still very young. After you leave high school, your social circle will expand and you will have many more opportunities to meet a partner.

You got A LOT of time for a lot of wonderful and bad experiences left.
Regardless of what you do always remember you have worth and demand you're treated with respect. And everything else will be fine. Not perfect, but fine.
