Why can't people be honest with each other?

I try to be honest with people and they react negatively. I get labeled a jerk and an asshole when I am honest with people and don’t lie to protect their feelings. I’ve learned in society there are certain white lies people accept to keep the peace; so people learn growing up it’s ok to lie

There's a lot of beautiful moments in life but one of them is everything that comes out of your mouth is the truth no matter what no matter if it hurts somebody no matter if it hurt yourself you have to be honest you have to tell the truth and there's nobody in the world that

When you can be completely honest with yourself you can be honest with anybody and everybody

Everything I do in life I do it for a reason
And if I'm asked about that or if I did certain thing and I was to say no and I did do it all I'm doing is cheating myself it means I don't like myself or I don't want somebody to think bad of me so I'm going to be somebody else and I'm going to lie that's bullsheet

If I do something I do it for a reason.
And for other people if they do something...
And they don't want somebody to know they lie

If you're going to do something do it for the right reasons
Because if you have to lie about it you did it for messed up reasons whatever it was that you did and that's just as wrong
So if you're going to do something do it but don't lie about it

I've had two different things blamed on me before and
I don't care if you're talking to a boss or going to court
If the boss or if the judge has both people in front of them and one person lies you're screwed because you're not a liar but at the same time the truth always comes out no matter what the truth always comes out you might not get your day in court that day or in front of the boss that day that you will get your day

Because most people are selfish and only really care about themselves and do not know how to take accountability for their own selfish actions or behavior , so they figure lying is the best solution for themselves to make it seem like everything is fine and dandy cuz they can’t admit to themselves that they are a piece of shit person

Because they were raised by their parents to be dishonest and/or because media tell everyone being dishonest is good.

The truth hurts and is hard to talk about for some. You can lose friends and relationships over the truth. Honesty is the best policy 99 percent of the time. People hold stuff inside and stew over it forever instead of saying it out loud and hashing things out

Sometimes it's a lack of empathy, sometimes it's not recognizing why the someone has a right to know. Most of the time, it's because the person doesn't know how to approach the conversation and they would rather not.
