It pisses me off so much that all these assholes can't just tell you what you need to know. They have to pull all this social cue bullshit and if you don't get every single aspect of it you're an obnoxious dumbass. It's not even saving their skin. I hate people so much.

Yeah man it's bullshit, but that's the world we're living in! People have to be tactful and indirect because they're afraid that if they say something too directly they might accidentally be rude or tell someone too much and that might negatively impact them later.

Also, have you been tested for Asperger's or autism? I don't mean any offense, I'm a neurodivergent person as well and that is one of the most common characteristics that presents, not understanding social cues or subtext in a conversation

Well, unfortunately autism is a spectrum of neurodivergence so there isn't a concrete test you can take to prove whether you do or not have it. That being said, yeah it sounds like you have a touch of it and since you know that you can be honest with people about it when they are being difficult with you about not understanding something, it's not an excuse it's who you are and if they're shitty about it you don't need those people in your life
