in my opinion if a guy is hesitant to have sex because he's wanting there to be an emotional connection first that's a massive green flag in my opinion. It show's he takes his love life seriously which means you can bet you will be high on his priorities list in a relationship. That said you said that you two have already had sex a few times is there more context you can provide. I really know nothing about you're dynamic either that makes good advice hard to give.

Did you meet recently or was it a long time ago? Have you been close friends for a while? How did he seem to behave after those times emotionally in the after math? I can be more specific and give better advice if you explain what is going on.

Well, I appreciate it what you’ve already given. The normal stuff and rules that you would apply in dating. I didn’t really put on him and that’s probably my downfall. I think it’s always kind of been straight up with me, but I was trying to do better with getting to know him, but also started liking him put my guard up and I pushed them away so now there may be somebody else so we might not be compatible. Or he don’t really just give a shit about a lot of things.
