Like I realized the difference between I don’t love you and I lost love the I don’t implies that you never did which further builds onto the question of why for 2 years would you say I love you and why would you carry on an act

No. That's really bad. You know after a few months whether you love a person or not enough to stick around. PERHAPS the person is boyfriend/girlfriend material and not marriage material and THAT could be a factor... Loving someone doesn't make you or them ready for a lifetime commitment.

People are afraid of confrontation, so they wait and hope the other will give in or catch up. It's poor communication and a sad thing to do in general.
