I would ask him why he stopped saying I love you. If he tells me he doesn't love me anymore then I would definitely break up. My question is why someone that doesn't want to label what you have with them and someone that says you and him could never be serious would continue to say I love you a lot through text and in person too? Because that is the situation I'm in right now.

If that is something that is important to you, which I think it would be important to many, and your significant other refuses to appease you by doing it, it's certainly a problem. Try talking to him/her and see what they have to say.
always talk about yiurbissues before going straight to breaking up. maybe he has a reason.
I would ask them to say I trust you , instead of I love you. Breaking up with them is not as easy as them saying or not saying those two words.
i would have a deep conversation with her and see as to why the sudden change and we address the issue accordingly.

If I really saw something in her, not without a fight.
That really is my Achilles' heel when it comes to relationships. I tend to throw in everything but the kitchen sink if I see something that's worth it.I wouldn't break up but I'd try to ask why he wasn't.
