Is this a red flag?

I know a guy who is sure he wants to go out with me. I knew he liked me for months because of his constant staring before we even met each other. When I asked him what does he see in me he says from his observance we are both the same, I stay to myself and I'm very quiet like him. Introvert I'm assuming? We went on a date and he doesn't see anything wrong with me and is sure he wants to go out with me. I don't even remember telling him much about myself but he is also friends with a guy I used to see.

So are you saying that he seems to know more about you than he should (without being creepy as hell to get that information about you somehow?)

If that is what you're saying, then YES. That is a red flag. Definitely.

If it's not stuff that seems out of the ordinary (stuff the guy you used to see might have told him for example) then it's nothing to worry about.

It's normal to want to know as much as reasonable about someone your really like. But if someone seems to have gone too far, or seems too knowledgeable about you... making you question how me could know certain things about you... then yes, that's a problem.

More details are needed please. Do you think it's abnormal? The fact that it's enough to weird-you-out is the only thing that makes me think something's wrong.

It depends on what he knows, and whether you can account for him knowing that information.

He's infatuated with you. Not necessarily a red flag but I guess he's had a lot of time, if he's liked you for months as you say, to play out all kinds of scenarios with you in his introverted mind. I'd be cautious around people like that hoping to live out their fantasies through me, but I have different reasons for that. Some people like that kind of annoying attention in a relationship. Sounds like you don't since you're introverted as well and you're already wondering if it's a red flag.

No. A red flag is when you take pictures and he tries to avoid being in the pictures at all costs. Also when he never introduce you to his friends and only meet in secret.

It's absolutely a red flag. Never go out with anyone who says they like you. He obviously has horrible judgement. Why get mixed up with a guy like this. Go find a guy who despises you. Or at least a guy who's ambivalent about you.

Not a red flag just taking things easy. It's ok if YOU take the lead as a female though since men aren't afraid of being abused or overstepping a boundary and scaring girls off.
