Should I be worried that he hasn't asked me out on a second date yet?

Should I make a suggestion? Or wait for him to make one? It's been 4 days since we went out. Maybe he's seeing lots of other girls. He did mention on the date that he had a lot of matches.

Maybe it's the distance too since he lives an hr and 20 mins away from me. Maybe he feels it's harder to plan to meet with the distance. Plus he works 6 days a week. So he's kind of busy.

I don't want to be overthinking things, but I'm worried that someone else might have cuaght his eye and attention.

We did talk last night and seemed to really hit it off even more, but that doesn't mean anything in the world of dating.

I'm so green when it comes to dating. I've only ever been in a relationship with one guy and he was my best friend for many years before getting together so it was significantly easier to date him than someone completely new.

I think you should make a suggestion.

I also don't think you should be as worried as you are. He could be seeing lots of other people. But keep in mind, he's thinking the same thing about you.

Even if he is seeing more than one person at these beginning stages, you're definitely someone he's into too. You wouldn't be talking still if there wasn't going to be another date (or you usually wouldn't be anyway).

The fact that you had a date, and are still chatting means you both seem interested in continuing on at least for one more date.

You can also ask him about stuff like whether he has trouble with the distance. (maybe he does, or maybe that's not a big deal to him at all).

Maybe, maybe, maybe. You wrote a lot of maybes so I’m going to say maybe you should ask him out on a second date & maybe he will go on a second date with you & maybe you two will have a good time & maybe you two will have more dates after that.

In life if you like someone you shouldn’t be afraid to tell them & in life if you never try you will never know & as for me I rather try & fail rather than not try at all.

As for you turn maybe into making it happen. Turn the tables on him & if you like him ask him out because if you don’t ask him out I’m sure someone else will.

Be clear with your intend when communicating… if both are vague… 😂 things will fall apart.
tell him, you had fun amd that the chemistry is good… let’s go out again.
or say, you really want to see this show or go to this event… ask if he he interested.

Make the suggestion and see what happens. If he really cares and wants to meetup again then he will agree to it and make the time. If he doesn't or seems like he's being fishy, then there will be your answer.

Online dating - and I'm assuming that's where you met since you said he gets a lot of matches - is very vicious and competitive in today's world, and it makes so many people feel anxious and insecure, which I could understand. I want to say there's a large chance that he's probably checking out the other matches but we really don't know. I say still make the suggestion and go from there.
