Why hasn't he asked me out yet?

I'm in college, and I've had class with this guy I like for the last 6 months. My gut tells me that he finds me attractive, but I'm confused as to why he hasn't asked for my number yet. He's not a shy guy at all... which is why I'm thinking maybe he's not interested.

We only talk a little here and there, but he definitely comes to me and starts the conversation. However, he runs away too quickly before we can talk about anything more than school. He doesn't seem to pay attention to any other girls in the class except me. I see him checking me out sometimes, and I also notice that he parks his car next to mine now. So why hasn't he made a move yet? The only reason I can think of is maybe I'm a bit too shy or quiet for him.. I'm not sure if I come off as un-approachable? Could this have something to do with it? Or else maybe he's just waiting for the right time?

Are there any for sure ways to tell if the guy is interested?

Sounds like he does like you. Guys are often afraid of rejection which prevents them from asking. Have you flirted with him a bit to let him know you like him too? If that doesn't work give him an opening or a hint... for example tell him about a movie you want to see and pause - the pause gives him a chance to jump in and invite you and it also lets him know you are suggesting he should ask you out. If he is interested he will either take the hint and ask you out or he will get nervous and hesitate in asking but he will probably still be facing you and looking at you like he wants to ask. You can then either drop a stronger hint (eg you'd like someone to go with but your friends have already seen it) or you can just ask him out. If he is not interested in you he will just casually blow you at the first hint saying something like how he has seen it and you should go see it.
I once mentioned to a guy I liked that I wanted to go see a movie and he said to me how he'd seen it already but he would still like to go with me as he wouldn't mind seeing it again. It turned out he had liked me for ages, I had no idea he liked me, and I am sure he didn't actually want to see it twice but he wanted to go out with me.

Yea, he's a least some what interested. I do all the things this guy does when im at school (college). I check the girl I'm into out, I approach and talk to them sometimes, and I park where they park sometimes lmao.

I'm pretty sure he hasn't approached you yet because he doesn't know how to go about it or he gets anxious talking to women. It can be a mixture of both, or it can even be because he doesn't want to look stupid or is afraid of rejection or something. It may even be all of these together. My suggestion? Be more obvious when showing interest. Let it known that you're into him

It's not that he's not interested, trust me, he probably thinks a lot about you or how would he approach you and ask you out. I believe he is working up to it, little by little, I be been through a situation like that before, now that I read this I'm wondering if that girl was waiting for me to take action too? Wow. Sigh*

Who knows. If you want something out of it, its best you ask yourself, or it will never happen. But if you at least go for it , at least you can say that you tried.

maybe he's just interested in being friends... but it seems weird he hasn't.

i keep girls on the hook while dating other girls in case things go muck so maybe he's just planting seeds for latter. i think you should do the same and distract urself

Incredibly nervous because he most definitely likes you.. so he's trying his utmost best to not muck it up.

I'm very much guessing you have never touched his upper arm? Back when I had no clue about signals from girls I though always knew something was up when girls gently touched my upper arm while they were talking to me
