How common or rare is it to have a really intense chemistry with someone?

I’ve had a number of boyfriends in the past, but never has the intensity been as much as it is now with this new guy.

It just seems like a really passionate and intense chemistry, like it’s so mutual at the same time and I’m wondering if this is just really common for most people or hard to find?

It's rare. Some people don't ever experience it. I'd say most people will at least once though. But it's rare. I've had it happen twice. And great chemistry doesn't necessarily mean happily ever after. There's still all the regular relationship stuff to contend with.

I can tell you for sure, that from a guy's point of view: He will remember it the exact same way you do. He will think about it, just as often as you do over time.

That's not to say that either of you will think about it as often as time passes. But he feels the same way you do.

If it was special; it will always be as special to him too.

I did not think this was where you were coming from in asking this. I thought you were someone who had never had such a connection, hoping to experience it.

Theoretically I should be very happy with any girl by birth and love here. But it is far more selective than that. A guy and a girl can just click. I don't think it can be encouraged.

Intense chemistry is where you have the same humor and laugh at each other's jokes immediately and start completing each other's sentences immediately. Plus you want to fuck.

Maybe I am misunderstanding you but I don't think you can encourage that kind of chemistry though I suppose you could suppress it.
