Would enjoy a date on a boat?

I have the passion for sailing and one of the reasons I chose my home in the US to be in Cape Cod is to sail the Bay. Back in my country I am a patented skipper but there are only the great lakes to sail. Although not exactly a date, today I went out skipping with my sailboat with my mother's cousin accompanying me.

She'd never been on a boat her whole life but wanted to try it out and had a lot of fun. Honestly I think it could be a cool idea for a date, although perhaps not the first.

Umm... I think its a bad idea. Especially if the woman you ask out is a fan of "It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia."

You really do need to watch this (the whole thing), before you ask anyone out on a boat date. There may be some implications you haven't considered.

I am not a boater but have had several dates going out on a sailboat for 2-3 hours and dinner afterwards. All of them were great dates!

Dinner on board or land?
I have a friend who once tried having dinner with his girlfriend on board with his girlfriend to impress her - a particularly sudden current made the dinner unforgettable for all the wrong reasons!

Usually, dinner on land. But i have gone on a cruise on s a large ship where we had dinner aboard ship.

Cape cod is beautiful, that passageway is breath taking. you are very fortunate! I'd ride a bike around that and maybe go fishing and just enjoy scenery. honestly, was on my list to do again this year @midnightmoon05 , to see the area again.

I'd probably go on a boat if I trust the sailor, used to sail, it's fun, but I'm not that confident with it myself. Some might find it capitavating. I had my bad experiences that make me cautious of the power of the sea.

Had my first kiss on a boat back in the days, was an amazing atmosphere.

And have just been sailing for the first time a few days ago, also amazing fun.

As you said, not something for the first or even second date, but I've you've been dating for a while, absolutely, doing a sporty date together is great.
