We’ve known each other at least 17 years- his family lives down here so he’s here at least once a year. And we try to see each other- when we do we hook up.

but it feels different than it has when I’ve had other hook up- we’ll stay and talk for a while, he’ll put his arm around me. He’ll ask if I’m gonna text him more often and then gets mad if I don’t. He asked if I was going to ever be honest (I don't know where we stand so I don’t say a lot bc I’m scared) or if it will take another 15 years before I am.

he lives in another state, and I am more than willing to have an LDR. I just don’t know where we stand, am I just convenient or could it be more?

Now you know he’s the only one who can answer this. I get that you’re scared but what if you don’t have another 15 years to wait around? Don’t you want to get married eventually, have a family? Every month you emotionally commit to him is another you rob yourself of meeting the right guy.

it's up to you. if you want to try and maintain a long distance relationship with him, then there's no harm in letting him know your insecurities about how it would work. he probably feels the same way. there's always going to be a risk in any relationship not working out but never finding out or giving it a chance then you've already made the decision. hope that makes sense.
