Why are so many people on dating apps holding alcohol in their profile pic?

I just downloaded bumble and I don’t get it. Why is it so important that I know that you drink? Is there a special appeal to swiping right on someone holding an alcohol beverage? If someone could please explain bc I’m super confused rn

I'm glad people show what they think is important because it shows that's important to them. Easier to spot red flags. Dating apps are the equivalent of going to a bar. No one really looking for anything serious and just want fun.
