Do men like "high maintenance" girls more?

Sometimes I feel like unsatisfied girls get more than moderate understanding girls. The ones who always ask for more and more seem to get more attention and love than the ones who don't expect anything but love and respect. Is that a thing? I see that a lot and feel kinda disappointed.

You're Wrong... These "high maintenance women" don't receive LOVE, they just receive ATTENTION, and for them that is the Only Important thing in life... As long as the Attention is there, they will "look happily in love", but to be honest that is just for the show, Soon as that Attention & Validation Stops, then Whole Hell breaks loose, she will start becoming Toxic and point fingers & create problems that are not there. Also these "wealthy men" creating that Ambience are at fault, couse is like a "brain washing mechanism", for a piece of 🍑 they will betray even their own blood. And trust me when i say, i've seen these "happy couples" High Maintenance that create Total Chaos, behind Closed Doors.😉🤫

High maintenance women are a PITA, and nothing but red flags. Unless the guy is pathetic, or a simp, they'll run screaming in the other direction.

It probably only seems like those women get more, because they are more obvious about it. They crave the attention, so they're more vocal about receiving the validation they're desperate for, and especially when they go five minutes without.

Meanwhile, the regular girls, the ones that are happy in their relationships, receive love and affection without being obnoxious about it.

I suspect you're mixing up "high maintenance" with "self confident". Lot of men don't really like high maintenance in theory, but people in general are attracted to self confidence, which is why men might be going for people you view as high maintenance. Moreover, it's easy to take people for granted, so someone who is holding their partner to high expectations can't really be taken for granted.

No actually literally high maintenance. I have seen that a lot but also recently happened to me as well. There is this guy who I really really like and we have known each other for a year. I opened up to him and he rejected me kindly. He said he is not in a position to give me a happy relationship I deserve (he is going through a rough time). Even tho I didn't expect anything big from him. but I know that from his past, he dated a girl who was making a scene when she was not liking the gifts he bought for her. And those gifts were efforted a lot. So now I think about it, he could provide a relationship for her but not for me? I'm someone who can get happy with even a paper ring, I don't know...

I mean, having dated someone selfish might be why he feels unprepared to date someone now. It could be that he resents the effort he put into someone who didn't appreciate him and doesn't want to project that onto a future partner. It could also have nothing to do with either of you, you said yourself that he's going through a rough time.

Just as long as men who try to satisfy whims of high maintenance woman get what they want, once they get it she will be dumped. Being spoiled princess isn't a way for long term relationship.
As a high maintenance girl if she would date herself if she was guy, I'm pretty sure she will answer, no.
