It's all about how society views power dynamics, I guess. A woman wanting a tall guy fits the old-school "protector" stereotype, which is seen as normal. But a guy wanting a "short" girl can sometimes be interpreted as wanting someone physically smaller for reasons of control, which gets a negative reaction.

I don't think there's anything wrong with it per se. Much like the women who date only tall guys, they're only hurting themselves. You're only hurting yourself by shrinking your dating pool.
