I recently went on a predate with a guy. The following day, I messaged him letting him know that I would enjoy seeing him again. He said that would be great. He asked another question with that text, so we switched topics and haven't returned to actually setting a date. Was I supposed to continue the setting of the date after he agreed to seeing me again?

Guys: Pre-dates don’t exist. You either had a date or you didn’t, even if the date was simply meeting to put a face to a name or walk in the park. It’s just not what she wants to qualify as a date. Let’s not over-complicate a very simple encounter.
@asker, he didn’t offer to set up the next date either, which he could’ve totally done rather than “that would be great”. So if there’s no sense of urgency on his end then there’s no need to have one on yours. Like you can ask whenever and I doubt it would make him feel any kind of way.

He's a very laid back guy and just goes with the flow, so I don't think it's that tbh.

So if there’s no lack of urgency then why didn’t he ask you out rather than just say “that sounds great”? Why hasn’t he brought up going out again in general? Because it’s not urgent. That’s why I’m my opinion it doesn’t matter when you ask.
