The problem is that prettiness alone does not secure a job. There is more than just the outer appearances during an interview.

You could have been looking smart, even actually be very smart and looked your best and still not have been selected for the job in question. Nowadays, there are a lot of people that do apply for the same job and HR has an easy task to chose the person that is best suited for the vacant position.

As a student, I have never been to a job interview but looking good and being smart does increase your chance but not guarantee a selection.

it really helps your chances especially if you're working with people and as qualified others applying, but it doesn't mean you can't be rejected lol

just depends on the type of job and who is interviewing you on how much it matters
