it is just so hard and frustrating to try to get along with someone who is miles dumber than me.

I get your reaction. I have the same problem. It's why I keep most people at a distance. Talking to them is just painful. I can't pretend the garbage that comes out of their mouth makes any sense. I can't slow it down so they can keep up. I won't stop to explain things every few minutes. It's like walking through quicksand dragging a dead horse.

Do I think dumb people tend to date other dumb people. Kinda. I think people generally find their own socio economic level, looks level, IQ level, activity level, etc.

But there are always exceptions. A guy may marry a hot woman even if she's dumber than a bag of rocks. He may end up regretting it but his dick will make the choice for him. A woman may marry a guy for social status and a lifestyle even if he's not the brightest candle on the birthday cake. She may never respect him. She may cheat on him. But she'll settle for him initially.

Counter question for you... Is dumb people getting with other dumb people the reason so many people in society are so fucking dumb? Is it just a numbers game and simple breeding?

I don't find that dumb people necessarily talk about garbage.
I just find that they just constantly "don't get it". I feel like I'm constantly at war with them or constantly explaining things to them in detail or having them constantly arguing with me.

They just simply "don't get it" every single time.

When I talk to highly intelligent people, they just somehow "understand everything"

I have no desire to date someone who seems significantly less intelligent than myself. I've never thought I was the smartest person, but I'm surprised at how dumb some people come off.

No, they don’t. I know a beautiful and smart young woman dating a young man who is as dumb as a rock. Maybe she’s codependent, I’m not sure. She could have any guy she wants and she picked him. He’s not smart enough to know he’s dumb, so he’s an arrogant jerk too.

The majority of people seem dumb to me. It gets annoying, especially if you have to work with them, but that's how society is, its filled with idiots. I just try to avoid interactions with them whenever possible.
