If he finds you attractive yeah, if he doesn’t then your just a troll ruining his day or giving him and his friends a laugh unfortunately.
also as someone who has approached a guy and dated him for 2 years and from other friends that have done the same, you usually end up with someone who wouldn’t help you emotionally , they cheat on you or just view you as an option because you approached. Some guys will view it as desperate just because you approached them instead of the other way around..

For me, at my age, with my experience, I find it really refreshing when a woman just walks up to me once in a while with confidence and starts chatting me up. I like the self confidence. I like the fact she isn't playing games and dropping what are supposed to be "obvious hints" that I'm expected to interpret correctly by reading her mind.

Obviously, as with anyone, it depends on how attractive the guy finds the girl both physically and personality-wise. But everyone likes the feeling of being desired. I genuinely do wish girls approached guys more often. I've been approached 3 times in my life. Once in elementary school (so it doesn't count), once a little after high school, and once around when I was 21 or 22? I can't remember. It's genuinely a nice feeling.

If there's a mutual interest, I'd welcome it as long as my boundaries are respected. If I've already rejected her advance, I wouldn't be keen whatsoever on being chased. Not only does show being desperate and even masochistic, she comes across as utterly disrespectful of my boundaries.

But rarely does it work out if she continues the pursuit past the first date. Guy often sees her as an option and does the bare minimum in this dynamic until she realizes she deserves more. She can chase until the first date, but after that effort should be lead by him to get a true metric of his interest.

Chasing, as fun as it might sound, will go out of validity pretty fast if not reciprocated. If that was to be the case, would risk becoming just plain annoying faster then you think, and worst, runs the risk of bringing up the very worst of someone to the surface.

Yes many prefer being approached by girls because then the risk of being rejected in total drops hugely. Most guys would appreciate being approached while many women don't unless a guy is hot. Almost any guy would be stoked if any girl (not just hot ones) asked for their number

Playing hard go get and or chasing is immature. Playing hard to get is an immature/unhealthy way to feel/seek validation. Chasing shows you have low self worth and sets the tone for an unhealthy relationship. I feel like this is really rare in practice. 'Chasing' by women usually involves giving signs that a lot of guys don't catch or just leave him questioning if she was flirting or not. If by 'chasing' you mean asking a guy out or being obviously flirty then I don't mind it. One time at a company Christmas dinner the girl to my left laid her hand on my arm, I thought it was very sweet and didn't cross any lines for someone as withdrawn as myself.
