Obviously it is very freeing. I can make my life commitment to any partner I choose and work with him as equals to build the life we both want together, rather than be assigned a partner and a narrow cookie cutter life plan for us both by a hypothetical father figure who never even had a real wife himself.

And why force your rules on everyone else if you really believe they will be "justly judged and punished" by your God anyway? Leave us alone and let us make our own decisions. If you're right, then that's not your job, and you should accept your role and move on with your life. Stop trying to ban everyone else's.
