Should I give this Italian man a chance?

I’m in my late twenties and planning to get married soon, but I’m feeling a bit unsure about this Italian guy I’ve been seeing. I’m not a native English speaker, though my English is quite good, probably close to native level.

He’s Italian and currently living in my country. His English isn’t terrible, but it’s a bit broken , not so bad that I can’t understand him, but it sometimes makes communication a little tricky.

He’s a good guy, and there’s definitely attraction between us, but that language barrier worries me a bit.

I live in a small country where most people aren’t very open-minded, while I consider myself quite open-minded , which is probably why I tend to be more drawn to foreigners.

Do you think I should give him a chance?

Then you date
Then you decide about your future


And if you feel you’re so much more open minded than people in your country you need to move to another country

Working abroad
Seeing the world

Yeah just because I am planning to get married it doesn’t mean I will get married tomorrow or after 1 month.
Maybe soon for me takes a year or two?

Nothing wrong with giving a guy a chance

Then you bring up your marriage goals.
Nothing wrong with them either but it’s irrelevant at this point since you haven’t dated the guy

Then you compare yourself to girls in your country.
Usual when someone says “I’m more open minded than everyone else” they’re just struggling to fit in.

Which is why I suggested trying to live in an open minded place

Traveling doesn’t mean visiting it means living there

But ultimately it’s up to you.
If you wanna date this guy then do it.
