Should I pull a Felicity and move to be closer to a guy I really love?

If given the opportunity I will not only be making way more money but in the spot where he lives. The only downside is I don't know if this will bring us closer together or not at all.

And just to be totally clear I'm not stalking him. We've discussed the possibility of me moving there. And how he would probably be over my house a lot since his job is right where I would be working and living. But I'm not sure if this would change our dynamic relationship wise.

What is your relationship now? Has it been only online, or did he move away from you? If you've never lived in the same place, have you at least met? Does he feel as strongly as you do? If he's serious, then he would talk about this in considerable detail, with an idea of making this relationship permanent if it's working well.

How do you feel about your current location? Do you have strong connections to the community, friends, family? Do you have a career and professional connections? How do you feel about his location? Is there anything attractive there besides him? One person is not enough for a happy life. How hard would it be for you to return if it doesn't work out?

These are all great questions. Where I live now sucks. The job I'm at sucks. Getting this job and being closer to him would be great. We'd spend more time together than the occasional times I go down to see him since he can't come up to see me because of his car. So it would be nice to be with him all the time. Our relationship is complicated. We're friends with benefits at the moment but I would like it to be more and I think by me moving where he is, it just might be more.

Just make sure he's as serious about you as you are about him before making this kind of decision. I don't know why you're worried about "a change in the relationship dynamic" if you are both serious about this relationship, unless you or him are not ready to take the next step. You're not moving in with him. You said he will probably be over at your place a lot. How many times have you been to his house or apartment? Has this guy talked about getting married? Also make sure you're not trading a lower paying job you like for a higher paying job you hate.

Why are you posting anonymously? The question is; will you be glad you moved there if it doesn't work out with him? Is the job opportunity and increased money enough to make you go there if there were "no guy"? If the answers are yes and yes, absolutely go. If an answers are no, then don't.
