What's "too young" or "too old" for you?

Either dating or relationship, what's the cut-off point for you?

If I didn't want kids, I don't think I'd have a too old. As long as I find them physically attractive (there are some bombshell mature ladies out there), they put in effort into their fitness and appearance and have a personality compatible with my own, any time I have with someone like that is a blessing.

The cutoff for me in how young I'd go is probably at the legal limit of 18. It's highly unlikely that I'd find someone much younger or much older than me who are compatible with me though as they would likely have different world views and has different experiences that make it harder to connect with them. I'm just not crossing the possibility out entirely.

And I really wish people would stop looking at age as something that matters. It really doesn't. There are some seriously dumb and immature older people and there are some very intelligent and mature young people.

My cutoff is not strictly tied to age but to other factors. For a younger woman, the question is whether we would have enough similar interests and goals to sustain a long term relationship. For younger women, the odds are very low but I would be open to the possibility if a girl was more mature.

For older women, the question relates to their health. I am 70 and many women my age and older have restrictions on their activities related to medical problems which become more common as we get older. There are even women 10 years younger than me whose mobility and activity levels are restricted by chronic medical conditions. I am very healthy for my age and not ready to slow down, so I don't want a partner who could not keep up with me.

Traditional and grown - ok.

Too young is more that they go their way not looking after their partner. Too old is also when they are looking for someone to wash and cook and clean when they are old and not able to... someone not to be alone and to do the household. Not love. A helping hand they dont have to pay.

27 and younger is to young for me, and or too old... I guess maybe 70, I don't really have a limit, but my problem with much older guys is we just don't have that much in common. So things stay almost entirely physical which can be ok for causal stuff, but for a relationship or friends with benefits situations I need a little emotional connection too

Eighteen would be too young for me. I am only 21, so it's just a three-year difference, but I also know it's looked down on and I understand why. Better to be above potential reproach. If I'm really meant to date a girl, destiny can wait a year or so lol.

26 would be too old for me. I'd feel weird dating someone who was through puberty by the time I started it. Life stage and history also play a significantly larger factor than usual when considering a life partner who's older than me.

For me at age 24 each individual year makes a pretty big difference but I'd probably say 4 years in either direction, 20 being the very youngest and 28 being the very oldest.

I'd feel kind of creepy dating a 19 year old and I'd feel like 29 is more of an older sibling-like figure than a peer. But I'd rather date a 29 year old over a 19 year old. In general I'd prefer leaning slightly older because the older person is expected to have everything together and I just don't at all. Lol.

Well...

My "too old" cut-off point is at my current age. It is a "soft" cut-off point, though, I would be willing to accept a slightly older woman (one or two years of age difference) if she is perfect for me otherwise.

My "too young" cut-off point is at 18 years old + 1 day. Sorry, but the dating pool is too limited for this cut-off point to be anything but "if she's legal, she is an option".

There is no division for dating and relationship, since the only intent I could ever have for "casual" dating is to get a long-term relationship out of it.

30 + is too old. Also, I won't even be friends with women within 10 years of my age (younger or older) because I have never agreed with most women around my age, never agreed with their immorality, greed, unfairness, etc. I started noticing their many flaws back when I was in high school and it just became more obvious once the internet and social media existed and so many women openly show their low quality to the public.

She needs to not have kids, no contact with any ex, have good morals, and be interested in gaming (either bored games, video games, table top RPGs, or some combination of those) or I have no interest. I want a partner that makes my life better, not worse.

Too old? I've had a relationship with 17 years older and have gone on dates with older than that. Not sure. Probably not Harold and Maude level, but it is more about "her" than when she was born.
