That's very unusual. I had to look it up because i've never heard about this before. I'd say i'd be wary as you barely know him. If you're able to you, I'd try to negotiate with him on some other kind of first date arrangement (if he gets angry then he probably wants you for sex..) Most women think this kind of thing is a red flag for a first date.
