What’s the strangest thing you’ve added to your coffee?

I don't drink coffee but I can share what the most odd thing is I ever put in someone's coffee on his own request.

Its one of those concentrated lemonades which your supposed to put into water. He was curious how it would taste like in coffee. As the helpful colleague I am I made him some, as I was very curious what he'd think of it and it seemed funny.

His review? It tastes like warm lemonade, not like coffee at all. But, the smell and cream of the coffee are what you smell and see so its actually quite well hidden until you taste it.

After 30 minutes when he was done with a call he looked into his cup and it was thick goop. Some kind of unusual chemical reaction had happened, he felt sick. I found it pretty hilarious and other than him feeling a bit ill at the sight of that nothing bad happened. He got over it, but never took me up on my offer to make it again.

I'm not that strange in my coffee tastes. I rarely, if ever, drink coffee these days (it's all about green tea for me). But when I was in college, I used to get a Colombian blend with a hazelnut shot, 2 creams and no sugar every day for a couple months. That was pretty good.

Red pepper flakes from one of those little packets they give you at the pizza place. I working outside a bar around midnight as a door man at a patio gate. It was about 40°F and dropping, really humid because of this accursed thing we have here called the "Marine layer". Being close to the ocean and having fog roll in off the water was not helping. I wanted to warm up. It wasn't as bad tasting as it sounds. I wanted to put dark rum in my coffee, but wasn't allowed to drink on the job until the owner left.

There’s a cafe here that does that in the summer. Iced espresso with (I think) pressed orange or tangerine. It tastes ok but unusual to me. Good boost of vitamin c though!
