Do men regret losing a woman they never committed to once she leaves?

Long story short; We hooked up then kept seeing each other. I wanted a relationship when I realize he has good personality too. He didn't do anything to deepen the relationship; taking me on a date outside etc. so I DID cut him off. He started to pursue me. I was already emotionally checked out, I moved on. He kept texting me days without me responding so eventually I gave him another chance to met him I was unhappy/uncomfortable. He said

"You're begrudgingly..." "I feel like you don't trust me" then I replied "I don't?" He said "What I've done for you to not trust me?" I said "What did you do for me to trust you"

After he fell sleep I left. He texted me where'd I go. but I was already gone. I sometimes wonder and I ask to men: Have you ever been similar situation and Do you ever regret what you had when you lost her?
