Why do so many people fake their persona instead of being authentic?

If you want someone to really fall in love with you. Last thing you want is for them to fall in love with a lie that you will forever have to keep up until they find out and loose respect for you. Yes, some people will reject you for you that’s how you know they aren’t the right person. Some people are bad people but it doesn’t even make someone automatically bad it means they aren’t meant to be.

I prefer rejection over future drama. Like, I'm married right... and when I go looking for strange, I don't try to hide that. Meanwhile I have friends that do the same thing and they will lie to women and pretend they're single... needless to say they cause a lot of drama when they find out.

Women that are cheating themselves, and women that don't want a guy all to herself like that. No drama. There is no rage about me being taken. I can end things and there is no dramatic "but why though" situation... they know why.

Sure, I could pull more pussy if I didn't wear a neon sign that says "cheating taken guy that just wants to fuck" on my chest... but would it be worth it? I've seen some of the troubles my friends that lie get into... those women are pissed when they find out. My women, they're never mad. So to answer your question directly... it's so they can pull people they probably shouldn't be pulling. That's why. I mean a man that wants a stay-at-home wife to make babies with probably shouldn't hook up with a sex working feminazi that hates kids that wouldn't even stay at home during the day if she doesn't even have a job. Just is what it is. People that start faking shit are not staying in their lane. People have their own goals in this life, and I don't think fucking with them if it doesn't alighn with yours is a bad move... just let them go. Don't try to pull them in.

You hit the nail on the head. You put forth a persona and you're only selling them an image. And at some point you have to show them the real you. Because are you going to live a lie for 20 years? And this is the point. Most women, most people, do not want anything permanent or lasting. They'll say they do. But they don't. Everything they do and say is counter to that. They want attention, they want a fantasy, these people that do this sort of thing know they do not have enough worth to keep somebody. Because they never thought deeply enough about someone to really give of 5hemselves. Sure these people obsess over some objects of their affection. But obsession is not love. These people think inwardly, not outwardly. It's unfortunate. a lot of these people will live a full life of many experiences without ever really possessing a meaningful connection to anyone.

I actually just gave this talk with a co-worker a couple days ago. I told her why would I pretend to be someone I’m not because it’s about two people getting to know each other and how they’re really like such as I’m not gonna pretend I’m not the jealous type. Lol. I think it’s more attractive when people are authentically who they are than playing a game and pretending.
People may think it’s the charm and what attract someone, which it can work for initial stage. But it’s not really who they are and won’t work for the long run. I remember one of college guy friends once say “doesn’t everyone put their best behaviors at first?” But I disagreed that’s only for everyone who are pretending their best behaviors are their identity. It’s like falling in love with someone who actually don’t exist… and people will question later “why did they change?” But truly, they might never really knew who they really are.

And to an extent people live public and private lives. The last person you want to hide something from is someone that you plan to eventually let into your private life. Not saying you need to spill everything on the first date either.

Eventually though if you’re with someone long enough he or she will eventually see through it. A real relationship is getting to know one another on a deeper level.

• They have been taught that it's the right way to interact?
• They concluded that it benefits them?
• They noticed they can't be appreciated otherwise?
• They believe it's how people work?

I don't think it's so much "people faking it". I think it may be more incompetence. Like people not actually knowing who they are and how to behave in a grounded normal way. Cause society does not exactly encourage that sort of character does it? Currently society rewards people who are "special" (either racially or sexually). Being "normal" is discouraged.

They are more concentrated on the short term and never the long term and this is mainly why I haven't jumped into, nor will I pursue a relationship anytime soon.
