Have you always known and been sure of your Self Worth?

I know we question things at some point, I'm talking about consistently since your were old enough to know what self worth is, have you known and been confident in it

No. It took a brutal rejection when I was younger that forced me to look deep within myself and faced demons I was running from. Before that I never considered myself enough and always felt there was a dragon I needed to slay to demonstrate my worth. The woman that rejected me at the time was actually more pathetic than I was. I didn't see her that way. But she she saw herself that way (and sadly she was right about herself. Not because she needs to be, but because she CHOOSES to be). She faked interest in me but only for attention. As soon as she got the attention she sought she turned ice cold. But she would keep coming back to me for her attention fix. Finally I was able to get separation from her for 6 months and that allowed me to clear my head. When she came back into my life I was a different person. A stronger person. She tried the same tricks on me, but they didn't work anymore. She chased me for another two years. I blocked her advances every time. And in my own way I punished her for what she'd done. I would respond to her with 1 word answers. I would not elaborate. Because I knew she was just looking for a foothold to manipulate me. Today no woman, no person can get over on me again. Because as I said this forced me to grow. It forced me to examine friendship. What it means. Why people like me. Now I understand my power. No one has to like me, but a lot of people do. Why is that? It's because of what I bring to this world. But I'd be just fine if no one liked me. Because I know my worth. The problem would be on their end if they didn't, not mine. Some people in this world aren't going to like you, for whatever reason they choose. That's THEIR issue, not yours. You cannot let that change you or your beautiful loving heart.

I am not sure I gave it too much thought in my life. But certainly there was a time when I was in elementary school on to early High School where I didn’t know where I stacked up against others in competence and intelligence. Even when I settled in I was wrong in that I just had my own style which didn’t match up with a lot of things like schooling or rote learning or work. I ended up doing great though as I could solve a multitude of problems with innovative and efficient ideas.

But what I learned was that 1/3 of the people out there will hold you back, F you over and try and make you feel less than you are. You have to learn to not take those people seriously. I developed a “F them” attitude. Just know where they are coming from… and it isn’t a place of being helpful.

I think it's mostly because of my upbringing. My parents and siblings taught me so much. They instilled a confidence in me that has usually kept me sure of myself. I grew up loving sports and exercise, which helped me become so confident.

Not always. It's honestly taken me to reach my 30s to finally reach self worth. I'm honestly just now starting to love who I am.

I don't think so. Especially in the sense that there were points in time I thought I was totally delusional for thinking life was worth living for someone like me. I hated waking up because I anticipated all my shortcomings that were about to happen through the day.

But I was also so desperate to be happy I tried something different almost every day 😂 so maybe I did believe in myself even then. I guess I had to.

Yes, I have always been very grounded. Even during my lowest moments I knew I would come out on top eventually.
