Previously I thought this guy might be interested, as he would compliment my taste in things (or say how we have the same taste), be attentive to me (such as getting me a drink without asking, asking if Im comfortable, etc), tease me, or playfully bump into me.
The other day however, we were texting and he said "you got that right, sister!" I have never had a guy call me "sister" before and I immediately felt confused, because it very much felt like a term you would use to set a platonic boundary. Was this an example of getting friend zoned?

Generally speaking if it sounds gay and a guy said it it was probably meant to be ironic.
A lot of guys will talk like that to get closer to someone and let them signal an intimate or a platonic direction.
I'm sure from his perspective he's nervous and feels like he's gotten mixed signals
I don't think so, don't take it too literally, just an expression and he sounded excited you agreed with him about whatever. O
No! Just a word, like bruh or dude, but specifically acknowledging your femaleness. It does not mean you’ve been friendzoned or he thinks of you like a sister, especially if he’s Black (but even if he isn’t).
I agree 👍🏻💯
Why is a woman in her 30s talking about zones? You should have grown out of that malarkey 15+ years ago.
Because that is the widely used term describing the situation. Wondering if someone sees you as a friend or more doesn't stop at a certain age if you are dating. Why does a woman in her late thirties spend time responding to questions on this site, without actually answering the question asked?
Introduction to friends as "sister"? You're out of luck. But this is a nothing burger, keep flirting
More than likely it’s an expression. Like someone said, it’s like saying dude. The sister part could just be referencing a female.
If you think he has been giving signals for a while and you haven't responded, didn't you already friend zoned him?
I don't think I have. I flirt with him back when I catch a flirty vibe from him. Due to work we can't always see each other that often, and we met through a mutual friend, so I'm just being cautious about it
Call him brother, check his reaction
I highly doubt it
Yes..
LMAO you trapped well.
Yes babe
Is he black?
