Has anyone else lost their interest in dating?

I never had an interest in it. Not even in high school. Now that I am in college I focus on that and getting school done.

I am not saying I will never have an interest in dating, just not right now. I want to get my life in order and stable on my own before adding more things to my plate.

Because of the way that women treat men and the legal risks, I have completely lost my interest in dating. I don't feel like being somebody's punching bag. I don't feel like losing my money and my career and my life because some woman feels like making a false accusation.

It’s never the same anymore. It’s complicated. Everybody wants power and too control and you have to have a lot of money to please the women. If not, they’ll leave after you get out of the high school. It’s usually how it works

In high school they will date you because of your looks and how nice you are but once you get out of high school, it’s all about the cash flow and what you can offer them and they constantly want to be spoiled

Because there’s no point. I tried dating for years and gave up. The majority of men on the dating market are cheaters, liars, manipulative, abusive, immature and just want sex (no I didn’t sleep with them). There are few men that are worth dating. Men that are actually mentally stable, has their life in order, are loyal faithful, kind, respectful, reliable, wants to get married and have children, easy to talk to and fun to be around. Very few. Then also add that there has to be attraction and feelings developing.

It feels like the odds of finding a good life partner (because I’m only interested in life long commitment, zero interest in casual or short term stuff or even relationships where breakup/divorce is an option) are the same as winning the lottery. I talked to many hundreds of men over the years, went on many first dates, only a few lead the second or third dates. Had two relationships that sucked because it turned out they were not the people they let me believe they were (cheaters, liars, abusive etc) and then I decided I was done with men. My life has been much more peaceful since I stopped dating. Would I want a partner? Yes if I knew he was the kind of man I’m looking for and we would live happily ever after. The chance of that is so low though that I don’t find it worth trying. One of my exes dis things to me that caused severe depression, anxiety and ptsd lasting over 10 years now. No thank you, not again. And no, it doesn’t matter what kind of guy you date. Their looks, interests, job, style, personality type doesn’t correlate. I’ve had ugly geeky nerdy shy guys try to cheat on their girlfriends with me or be abusive to their partner. Good looking average or ugly, outgoing or reserved, highly educated or low education, lots of friends or no friends, sporty or nature loving or gamer, little to no experience with women or longterm relationship in the past and so on and on - non of it matters. These bad horrible men exist in every group equally, that’s my experience from what I’ve seen on the dating sites as well as among friends and family’s partners.

I like to believe that for the most part dating apps are normally not used for dating apps, I really doubt your future husband is on a dating site, I think what you describes as a good husband normally knows that dating sites are a waste of time because most people on there aren't focused on dating and if that's what they are looking for, they have a twisted idea of dating, the people that go on dating sites look for easy, a real partner isn't found in easy, easy is usually hookup culture or we date until someone makes a mistake and we drop the whole thing, a relationship for the end requires patience from both, that includes hardship, which means not look for excuses to move on but fight for the relationship when something difficult happens it requires patience and dedication which is hard to find in dating apps because dating apps are to make it easy to find people and even replace others, that's in dating, the rest is just hookup culture, dating apps are a waste of time, your future husband is more than likely not on a dating site.
