Talking on the phone. My ex kind of got me out of texting which I realize is kind of annoying if it's not saying something simple like good morning or goodnight. Anything else should be said over the phone if possible. I know it's not always possible but for the most part it should be about the only thing said through text.
Talking. Simply because it's quicker and less effort. I won't spend a lot of time doing either really. On the positive side for texting it can sit and not be a problem... you can answer at your leisure, but hey, I'm of a generation that had no such thing as texts for most of our lives... hell it was a long while before I had an answering machine and our phone when I was a kid was a rotary dial, so...
Phone calls for time sensitive things or long complications with lots of back and forth. For something that isn't as urgent, texting is much easier.
People my generation (Z) tend to text more or snap or IG etc. I may be the outlier as I like to talk. Go figure!
Texting. Because I'm more of a writer than a speaker, I am a farm girl which means I don't have my phone with me when I work so phone calls aren't ideal for me.
Both. I like texting because it's convenient, but I also enjoy talking on the phone sometimes
Funnily, people are more likely to lie talking on the phone than in person or in writing. And people are less likely to detect that they are being lied to when talking on the phone.
Texting takes too long if you want to have more than a 2 sentence conversation
i don't really answer the phone. texting was very convenient for me.
I talk on the phone with my brother and child because I can't see them often. I go meet my friends.
I really depends on the subject matter. Most things can be handled through text. But some things require context and a human touch. And a phonecall is needed for those.
I don't own a smart phone. And I don't text
