Hi guyzz, today was my birthday and honestly, I spent the whole day wondering what one particular person would do for me. 🥹

At 12, my best friend was the first one to call me. We talked for over an hour, while I kept checking my phone, wondering if he had wished me yet. He hadn’t.

Turns out, he was awake and playing a game because of its new update. 😭 I didn’t want him to feel guilty, so I casually told him it was my birthday when he realised it around 1:30 AM.

He apologised, and I do understand his reason. But now it’s morning, and I’ve called twice because I just wanted to spend some time with him. He’s still sleeping, even though we planned to watch a movie together.

Maybe I’m being dramatic, maybe I just expected a little more from the person I was most excited to hear from. :')

If it was my girlfriend , then yes I would be hurt if she didn’t really acknowledge it whatsoever, and in return , I wouldn’t make a big deal about her birthday either, when it came , and she probably wouldn’t be my girlfriend for long , it’s one thing if a partner forgets it’s your birthday ,! but worse if they don’t acknowledge it. That to me shows someone’s true character of who they truly are as a person , and definitely not someone i would want to spend the rest of my life with

It all depends what kind of relation you have with that person. Somehow, I get the feeling that you may possibly have a crush on him and that you expect that this crush is being reciprocated or that he is your best friend or at least a very good friend.

Expecting something like a birthday wish at midnight of your birth date is a bit far fetched but in the morning hours would be something that I would expect from someone I care for.

Putting you in second place behind a computer game is indeed something that would lead me to believe that I don't have the right priority in the mind of that person.

First happy birthday, and second I get the update stuff cause I play too but I also get your point of view when it comes to expecting more from him mostly on this specific day, if you really want to make a better situation out of this ask him if he can teach you how to play that game, this is a really good way I believe can help, since he has a passion for the game, he might find a good excitement from you wanting to play and im he shouldn't reject the opportunity to spend time with you on this.
