Do older men try to look younger, or do their looks decline with age?

Most humans's looks tend to decline with age. Now, it is also a matter of perception. Some people do actually look better, the older they get. A prime example was Sir Sean Connery that seemed to look so much better at age 60-70 as he ever looked when he was much younger.

Of course, it is also a matter of personal choice but I woud say that when you are younger, you are not only physically at your best but your skin has less wrinkles and age spots, which would also make a difference on how we perceive the looks of a person.

LOL, everyone's looks decline with age. Or maybe the more accurate word would be their looks change with age. Like Thanos, aging is inevitable.

But...

• Some people put a lot more effort into staying fit and healthy as they age. Diet and exercise matter.
• Everyone has unique genetics.
• Everyone has a unique history of environmental factors. For instance a coal miner is gonna take a lot more environmental damage than a banker on average.
• Hair loss in men is a genetic thing mostly.
• Some people care about style and some not so much.
• Women are so scrutinized for their looks that changes are judged more harshly.
• So people can age at vastly different rates. I've seen it myself as people tend to think I'm 10 to 15 years younger than I am while all my friends look a lot older. I've met 60 year old women who are gorgeous. And I've met 60 year old women who look like their funeral in next Tuesday.

I don't try to look younger. But I try and maintain my health. People usually tell me I look between 5 and 10 years younger.

Just because you reach a certain age, it doesn't mean you just rot and die. There is plenty of information out there about how to look after yourself. A lot of is is common sense, such as eating wisely and taking care of your emotional stress. This can be ageing if you don't.
