For one of my college classes which is online, I was put in a group project with this girl who I immediately found really pretty, driven, and had a sense of humor exactly like mine. During our once a week working session over zoom, we had short moments where we joked around but she mostly seemed to keep her composure cause there were other group members around who were more serious. I assumed she wasn't interested and thought nothing of it.
Then, finally yesterday, all of our other group members bailed out of our weekly meeting and it was just me and her. We worked for a few minutes and then she suddenly started asking me about my background etc and we got to really breaking the ice with each other. Soon, we were both laughing so hard, goofing off and making inside jokes. I finally saw this other side of her come out and she said that "we were so fun together." It was like talking to an old friend but she was still completely new to me. I fell so hard for her in that moment but then I remembered that it was online and she lives two hours away.
Suddenly last night, she started to dm me on social media about an inside joke we made and at this moment I'm wondering where I should go from here? Would it be appropriate and realistic to start talking to her more on there and try to ask her out even though she lives a ways away?

If you’d be interested in pursuing long distance, and vice versa, then I’d say go for it.
Are you really 28 and asking this baloney?
WTF?
Two hours is not that far. I would go for it. Life is short.
Do it
