27F I will say I’m unlucky, I don’t think dating is this hard for the average person. In fact, most people have it easy as long as they’re attractive. Since I’ve been on dating apps on and off for years, that’s the only way I’ve met people but I just never catch a break. The one time I saw someone short term, it felt like settling because no one else gave me attention & he wasn’t physically attractive to me but treated me okay. I always get pursued by the ones I don’t want, if they’re attractive they’re dicks or there’s no connection OR if they’re good looking but decent personality they’re too short for me.

Sometimes the guys on dating apps message and we speak for a little while, but things fizzle out. Out of no where in some cases, they reach out again and come across as unstable or a total asshole wanting to rub something in my face. Look at last post, is this standard of dating apps or am I unlucky?

TL; DR: Typical with dating apps or just bad luck in love?

27F Back in Dec, we went out to dinner and talked for 3 hrs. We were in contact via Instagram messages. Later in wk we talked on the phone to buy tickets & see the Spider-Man movie. Eventually I asked he could stop sending those IG video reels politely, it was a bit overboard. I was not as bubbly at movies compared to when we first met up, I was very quiet (not against him). He was annoying me during the movie, he’s the type to laugh and make noises when something exciting came on. He nudged me during the movie and asked if I was ok because I was quiet and I said yes. At the end I told him thanks, he said you’re welcome and he said drive safe. When we first met, we ended with a hug. When we spoke on phone, he told me that he talked about me with his friends but at movies it was odd, he sent a message after saying that he wasn’t really feeling it from me and it’s not going to work for him. Flash fwd to yesterday, he sends a message on IG with a reference to Xbox exclusives, we used to be back & forth about console wars. He continued to follow me on IG but I removed him when he called it quits, why is he reaching out again?

TL;DR: Am I reading into it too much? Just friendly banter?

I'm seeing a gentleman who is perfect in nearly every way. He makes me laugh, smile, and holds me when I cry. The biggest issue is I'm not sure if I'm sexually attracted to him. He's got a mild dad bod, and as a former gym rat, I prefer a fit man. The sex is great, but there's more flesh than I'm used to holding onto. I'm a fairly small woman (5'6, 105lbs) and sometimes feel overwhelmed at the size difference (he's 6'2, 200-something lbs). Thoughts?

This question is not referring to people you were already really attracted to.
This also isn't referring to exercise, makeup or surgery. I'm really asking about if a great personality has significantly and positively affected how you viewed someone romantically in an instan.

Ex. You thought someone was a 7/10 in attractiveness and then in an instant became an 8.5/10 or higher.

In the Notebook, Ally didn't initially see Noah as a romantic prospect at all, but once she saw his personality, she knew she wanted him.

Met this guy on Bumble, easy to say we hit things off very well. Had a lot in common, very very similar interests, joking, flirting. All that jazz. I noticed too he would respond very quickly to me. Even when I responded to our previous conversation the day before he responded right away. We finally met up and he was shy and didn't say much. But then later he would text me and then give me so much personality... I then met up with him a 2nd time and he was just being really rude to me and again shy. I'm confused. What is going on here?

I always thought that the good guys would appreciate a girl that doesn’t come with a lot of baggage. I’ve only had sex and dated one guy, lol I haven’t had sex since and this was over 3 years ago. I feel the opportunity could have happened but I really just don’t have the urge to sleep around. I live alone, I could have had guys over. People say that I’m just a square but I just don’t have the urge. But sometimes I think screw it, I should try to live it up because I’m on the road to being a spinster anyway. I want a quality guy but really guys don’t give me the time of day, I’m told I’m attractive, few of you agreed. But I don’t get approached in person, I’ve tried dating apps only but have not had any luck besides the last guy I dated. Quite frankly, nothing was lucky about that. I felt like I was settling physically and would have preferred to remain a virgin. I don’t care if I never have sex again, I would like a quality guy though. Don’t want kids either, I just worry years down the line I will feel regret for being so antisocial and living an uneventful life. But I just can’t wrap my head around why the kind of guy I want wouldn’t have come around yet, most educated attractive women have no issue getting a date.

To me it is good looks.

Mr. P is attractive, invested in his health, and completely in love with me. He's got lots of time to spend with me, but no money to spend on me. We've established an excellent conversational repertoire. Frankly, he lights my loins on fire and is exciting to be around, he likes to hit the town and show me off.
Mr. S is good-looking, invested in his education, and seems to really like me. He's got a stable job that takes up most of his time but buys me flowers before every date. He's a "rock" and probably the more emotionally stable man I've encountered. He's a big teddy bear and likes to listen to me talk.

So I'm a latina and I prefer white men but they never approach me is it cause im plus sized? Its not all that uncommon to see white guys with latinas in my area, but 9 times out of 10 she is skinny almost never to do I see a white guy with a plus sized latina so are white guys into plus sized latinas? If not why?

Is a man owning a guns a turnoff?

I can’t help but let this bring my self esteem down. Most people I know my age are seeing someone or if they’re not, they have previous LTRs. The longest I saw a guy was for a few months back when I was 23 and quite frankly, I should have stayed single and a virgin. He had a decent personality but he wasn’t my preference physically and it felt like settling. I know I’m not a 10 but I’m told I’m attractive (not only by family/female friends), you all gave me a good rating for the most part. I just refuse to settle, I only have used dating apps but it’s worked for a lot so that shouldn’t be a deal breaker. How could someone go this long being single? All I can get are the ones that I’m not really into, if they check my boxes physically, they lack in personality or they’re the ones that aren’t into me. Regardless of how this makes me feel, since most women have it very easy, I’d rather be alone than taken and even more miserable.
