Have you got to the point of working so many hours but still getting no where ?

It is in human nature to strive for success , we try our best and go over our head just to get a promotion or a raise , and we just keep hustling and working hard till we find ourselves have missed out so many things of our lives, if you are doing that then think again you might be doing the wrong thing.

Now success in career have many component, no one ever notice or take them seriously i am going to help you as much as possible .

Please notice that this might not be the case for some careers as they depend on different skills or hard labor , but still a big part of this take would help you out.

This is what you are forgetting about whole this time, you didn't notice it but the way you are acting and dealing with your administrator has a big influence in your chances to get promoted or a raise , i have seen many people who would work their asses off and do extra work and get nowhere , of course you have to respect others but not to let them order you around , if they ask you to do what is more than your task are originally , you have to make them understand that it is up to you to say yes or no , and if you do it you have to make them feel that you have done them a favor, don't confuse this with rudeness or rebellious characteristics , it is the way that you say yes or no that counts , you always need to prove your self as a strong and independent loyal person, you do your tasks and you can do the extra (Which is different as it is development that is necessary to do everyday on your own without waiting anyone to tell you do that ), but this might have happened with you a lot , you are about to leave the office and surprise your boss asks you to stay for some extra work ,you shouldn't always say yes sure, but you need to refuse in a positive way (I always have an appointment after work and i tell them that as being a professional ), and when you say yes , the next day you should show them how much it affected you to stay over time and work hard so they appreciate your hard work, now this is all up to you to handle , it is not just easy steps it is a personality thing which needs time to change and perfect .

Language: first thing we need and it is always required in every country in the world which is a good command in English language , now for this mostly writing or typing is most important , talking comes naturally by practice , for writing or typing i recommend you learn touch typing , because it improves your writing skills and decreases typos and increase typing speed , you can search on Google touch typing and start practicing , there are many tutorials which you can use as a first step and then you can continue on your own.

*Self learning would come in handy learning touch typing , and you should implement it on your career too.

Microsoft Excel:

I noticed a lot of my colleagues can't use it properly and efficiently , most people would use the mouse and keyboard and don't know that there are many shortcuts that we can use without having to scroll or click , now this might seem insignificant , but when you have a big amount of data you need to work as fast as possible to process them , now this is would increase your accuracy of data and speed in process which most businesses need , here is a link for the shortcuts you can start using

And you won't even need the mouse anymore (There are some short cuts in windows too you can use such as Alt+Tab which alternate windows , Tab which jumps to the next selection in order ,Left Shift + Tab which goes back to the previous selection , and many more )

This is not enough though, you need to get some course in Excel , i am sure that you are't using 10% of this amazing application's potential.

This is the most important thing , this what got me my first , second and current job (which i have been offered even without an interview ), you need to always keep a good connection with everyone and keep that , it will benefit you in the future for sure , i have now a great career , i changed my path from being an accountant to and ERP consultant which is really advanced in business and great for experience in all different kinds of business , so always try your best to keep up with your previous work colleagues and bosses .

-Career Path:
Cost Accountant and ERP Administrator : Pioneer Pharmaceuticals, Iraq Kurdistan , doubled the salary in one yer because of my skills and attitude

General accountant and ERP Implementer and developer : Taqniyat Al Tasweeq, KSA Riyadh , I whopped the administration's ass and didn't work an over time but for three days after they begged me lol, i was always late in morning too , so i set my own rules .

ERP Consultant (Microsoft AX dynamics): I can come and go whenever i want , yes sometimes i might over night , but i have a good salary and the payroll for this career is high , and the work is an overall high level which makes a good connection with our projects (customers ) owners.
