I was a very very very bad kid. I would normally fall asleep though most of class throughout the hours then go back to sleep again because I keep telling the teachers in my family that school is extremely boring and it's also hard to focus when people are bullying you provoking you teasing you the whole nine yards and the only way for them to stop is for you to make them stop because telling the teacher doesn't do anything. You can tell the teacher about a problem and it's only a matter of time before that person take someone else's place and provoking that person. They say school is supposed to be fun which is a bunch of lies because nobody likes sitting in a classroom and right and into your fingers fall off. The detention is really pointless because it's only a matter of time before they get sent right back to the tension after going back to class from another problem.

I really never had a detention time but I was sent to counseling and also the principal's office a few times, mostly... during high-school days
most of it was because of the dress-code and uniform, or my writings on various subjects "knows too much at such young age" "has strong opinions" "have him tested for everything"
the actual times I ran into some trouble or I was messing around, I never got caught... lol
In middle school I had an awful math and science teacher. He'd just sit and read his newspaper, and have us work on our own from the textbook. So one day we're in the science lab, carrying out an experiment, and more than half the class ends up with weird dark spots on our skin. I can't remember what we were supposed to do, just the spots on our hands (someone arms, too). We rushed over to him to let him know, to know if it was dangerous… and he dismissed us, and sent us all in lunch detention. So what was his detention? Drawing a little circle right in the middle of every single square of a double-sheet of squared paper. Front and back. And you'd have to go back to detention until you were finished. This because we reported stains from a botched lab experiment that he hadn't supervised as he should have. In the end he was fired.
Rarely, when I did it was usually because of certain actions my friends or those around me have done.
It didn't take me long to change my social group and who I hung out with, I was never a trouble maker, plus my parents would have never tolerated that kind of behavior anyway, so I did (in my best interests might I add) try to stay out of detention as much as possible.

In primary school I got detention (it was called fix it at the time) for running in the classroom. I wasn't actually running, I was fast walking to get my stickers back from a boy who stole them. Another time I got told to sit outside my classroom at lunch because the teacher caught me throwing a hulahoop around a kid older than me and about to punch him because he was trying to undo the chain to my bike.
Intermediate school I've had to sit outside the staff room at lunch because I forgot my homework. (Was kinda fucked up because I spent the night before at the hospital for a family member)
I think another time the whole class had to write lines for misbehaving.
High school a whole lot of being held back after school because my class was the worst of the year group.I went to a Charter school from elementary to high school, where getting in any kind of disciplinary trouble was laughed upon, and rules were strictly enforced. We had all basically been trained to be perfect robots by the time we graduated. We really didn't have time to do anything that would get us in trouble.

"I remember i got a dean’s detention for not being cleanly shaved my senior year. " - That's one of the most stupidest things I ever heard! 🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️ I get detention once and it was the only time. I couldn't tell the difference between these two signs: > and < .
I’ve only been to detention once and it was for something I didn’t even do. But detention ended up being really fun anyways, because we had detention with the drama club teacher do we just goofed around the entire time and the teacher watching us was chill.
I was given detentions for skipping school so much. I was told I had to attend like 6 detentions to make up for it so I could walk during graduation but I had a 3.9536 gpa and would be wearing their golden scarf and tassel if I walked so I skipped the detentions because there’s no way they wouldn’t want me to represent them in graduation. My speculations were correct. Lol I hated high school
I never got detention i was very regular in line type of guy, Come on time and leave on time, all works were always complete and I used to sit quiet between classes
Never had any friends and never got into trouble coz of other people, i was very standard good students you find in all schools not the ones considered freaks, just the normal silent good typeQueen!
in grade 12, I got detention every day for the whole semester from math class. Math start at 8:45, I showed up at 9:30 like clockwork everyday. It got so bad, the teacher used to lock me out the classroom just so she can finish her lesson before letting me in. Eventually, she stopped giving me determination because it wasn’t like I was failing or not paying attention. I was just always late and she got fed up with having to stay after 3 just so I can make up my time.In middle school, I was probably in there 7 times every month every year. Once I got to highschool it dropped to like 2 times a year till senior year where I was too dead inside to actually cause trouble anymore. Plus covid. 🤷🏾♀️
Twice, in the whole time I was there. And I skipped class once.
I think. I recently found my grades and found they were one point lower than I'd remembered! For at least two decades, if you'd asked, I'd have said I got an A, 2 B's, and a D at A level (in the 1980's), but I actually got A, B, C, and a D! Not that it's made a blind bit of difference, but it's a strange thing.I got detention a couple times during highschool but for the life of me I don't remember why. I probably had my phone out or something. 😂 I was never a "trouble maker".
In high school I loved fucking my teachers so I pretended to be troublesome so I could have detention although it was really not amusing to my mom about how many detentions I got but she never knew I fucked my teachers
Not quite as often but I would be lying if I didn't said I haven't gotten in trouble at school. I have gotten detention in school because when I have a big assignment that came into a full package I didn't completed it in time so I have to miss recess. Sometimes I don't mind detention because I didn't wanted to play outside anyway especially if it was incredibly cold.
I was your very typical "Little Miss Goodie Two shoes".
I think twice, although once it wasn't logged. I was just tardy to a class 3 times which was what she considered necessary for detention. I don't know if it counted since I just showed up and didn't leave, but wasn't on the list. The other time was logged and justified.
I remember in the 9th grade, I got detention for talking back. Anyways I ended up in there for about 2 weeks because 1 teacher kept sending work for me to do and I couldn't leave until I finished it all
I got late detentions mostly. And one in house suspension for being a follower and cutting class.
Every single day lol. But i was also the smart kid at school so that balanced it out :)
I never got detention. Wow you got detention just because you didn't shave? That's ridiculous
I remember two times, but I was pretty good at just not getting caught and I wasn’t generally malicious just a bit of an anarchist so could generally explain my actions and get off the hook
Never! At my school it was called Wednesday school and was 5 hours long on Wednesdays nights. Kids only got it if they really really got in trouble
