I worked for a great auto insurance company for 30 years as a senior motor vehicle field adjuster/appraiser. After 20 years, I asked for a transfer from the Los Angeles area to northern California. They drew a big circle around my new home to create a territory for me and set me up with a complete home office. They gave me assignments every day and I went out to body shops, tow yards and homes. All I had to do was make my paperwork look perfect and turn it in on time. I had my job wired, so they loved me. Nobody looked over my shoulder.
The closest office to me was about two hours away. I used to joke that I had to go there once every three months or so for a half day meeting and pizza.

The answer to your question is Rarely.
I work on a customer project away from my base office at the customer site, with a project team of about 10 people. It's a long project that has taken many years longer than expected.
All of us (except for a few that work installing equipment at the customer site) have been working from home pretty much full time since March 2020. I have probably gone into the office (customer site) maybe one day a month, typically to do something that must be done at the site. Other than that, all work is done remotely: meetings via MS TEAMS; remote connectivity to computer, workstations and servers at the customer site and our base office; email and text; and an occasional phone call.Everyday, my office is next to the barn.
Just curious, with your job, will there be a time when you'll have to go in everyday? Or will it always be from home? Just wondering if these jobs will stay as "work from home" jobs.
Mainly when training or being the trainer or if clients leave bad reviews. And it sucks cause you can do your damn job but if the client is having a bad day and takes it out on you, they take it out on your survey too.
If I work in the office, I go downstairs. If I work from home, I go upstairs. Pretty easy! The commute is short and fabulous :-)
I'm the manager... so I have to go at least weekly, to make sure the place has not been raided or burned down yet
It's not an issue yet but I am glad that when I do become a practicing psychologist that I will be able to Skype sessions with some of these characters that courts send for an evaluation.
I have not been back in the office in almost 2 years. I was going to make a trip there, so I could help with food back things, but still cannot lift
I go about twice a week because there are some people I have to see in person. I don't like doing this and I don't feel safe doing it.
Rarely, if ever. I’ve only gone in once since 2020.
I went a couple of times to meet the Infra team to get updates to my laptop
I’m currently looking for a work from home job :)
