Personally I would go for Psychology, you have the option of specialising, as it’s not just counselling.
I worked as a volunteer at a counselling centre for 8 years and do not agree with the Blue Anon. We not only had various clients for numerous issues, we also did out reach work and assistance at local prison, so it’s varied. additionally you are making a real impact on peoples lives.
Psychology specialisms are:

Forensic Psychology - https://www.prospects.ac.uk/job-profiles/forensic-psychologist

Sports Psychology - https://www.prospects.ac.uk/jobs-and-work-experience/job-sectors/leisure-sport-and-tourism/how-to-become-a-sport-psychologist

It’s important when thinking about Psychology that you do not get down a rabbit hole and assume its simply therapy.
For example working on AI projects and the use of AI in the future and robots, we use Psychology within the science and research to do things like ‘how would a human do this, is it the best way, how would a human think this through etc’
I was very tempted to change specialisms to Criminal or Forensic, as talking / sitting in on some offenders for me was interesting.
when looking at any career choice, look at it, then stand back and see where else that skill set is used, if you want a change in later life how easy is it to transition to something similar.
hope that helps.

I really don’t like psychiatry because I am patient of it and hate being stuck in it. Your patients are mostly likely going to be really upset and not trust you at first. They might insult or say really cruel things to you. But you have to be very mature and understanding in order to handle it. I hate being a patient and I would definitely hate working in psychiatry And it can very hard because if you’re a therapist most of your patients are going to be poor, come from a broken family and need a higher level care than someone like me. So the might be very bitter and aggressive. When I needed higher levels of care most therapist prefer working with because I was kind and always talk to them. I only see a private doctor now (no therapist) because I don’t need the same level of care anymore. I did when I was younger. One therapist told me all of his patients just sit there and don’t say anything and I’m the only one who talks. That’s because a lot them were put in the hospital not by choice and now they have to go to therapy and take medication. I never had problems with money, but most patients do have a lot of problems with money and are angry at the world. The only way you can make a decent living is if you get a masters degree, PhD or MD or you work with someone who is wealthy. But I’d really suggest something else if you want to become a doctor. Maybe proctologist. Some thing that’s going make you a lot of money. Or start a fashion business. I’d suggest getting a computer information systems degree because it has both business and technology mix together. And what do most businesses use? Technology. So computer information systems will make you more versatile. Sorry for grammar mistakes it’s late and I’m too tired to edit it.
you're very young so honestly focus on whats more fun to you. a lot of people can b line it to a certain degree then at the end of it realise they didn't actually like the job itself. what we usually see isn't the boring parts or the brain killing sleepless nights. dont try to finalise your choice instead just enjoy your time. trust me school makes this stuff seems much, much more “important” than it really is right now for you.
