Do you think the way you dress can affect whether you make a good impression in a job interview?

Absolutely. If available, check out the company’s dress code or uniform, and wear something similar to that. It makes you seem more experienced if you already know what clothes to wear.
That said, if you're okay with lying you could hypothetically dress however you want. Say you just came from some event that makes you sound responsible, like you attended a society brunch and that's why you're overdressed, or you were helping a friend move and that's why you're dressed casually, or you were entertainment at your nephew's birthday party and that's why you're in a dinosaur costume. I have a friend who does this type of thing to make herself stand out to interviewers, and arguably it has worked. But that's just anecdotal. And you absolutely cannot be late with this.
yes, you dress for the job.
You don't wear a suit and tie to get a job running heavy equipment, yet you don't go to an interview for an office job wearing coveralls.
You want to be attractive enough to be considered a good brand ambassador but not so attractive that your bosses or co workers have illegal thoughts about you. If you have a naturally beautiful body and face, then you would benefit if you wear more conservative clothes to maximize your results.
Absolutely... First impressions count... And that outfit certainly will not give a good one at all.
Uh why not?
Naturally it would be appropriate if you're going on the street corner or strip club.
And this is my reply to your previous question.
Is it normal for your boss to touch you at work? ↗

Yes. You need to make a good first impression and people can form opinions based on it. At some point you may also need to represent the company you are working for so you wanna dress professionally.
Certainly. Attire attracts a lot of attention.
The dress in the picture attracts a lot of attention because the hem is short.
That's a nice dress and you look amazing but it's too revealing for a job interview. Wear something a little more conservative. That dress would be good if you were applying for a job at a club or something.
The interviewer is trying to determine how good you would be in the job you're applying for, and that involves your skills, not how good you look.
Yeah for sure. If you wear something that looks bad. No good first impression. If you wear street clothes. Not good. If you wear something too revealing. Again not good
Yes, you only have one chance to make a good first impression.
Yeap. If you dress like a bum or scantily clad, or wear crocs or slippers, I am not hiring you.
There is an old saying, "dress for the job you want, not the one you have." If you want to be taken seriously as a professional then you have to project that image. If you dress like you are a low life, you will be looked down upon.
Absolutely and usually more conservative the better
Absolutely yes, indeed it is first empression before anything else.
Of course? Lol that’s why people say “dress for success,” because it changes how the world perceives you.
maybe not that dress for a job interview but you look amazing in that dress
What if I added like a blazer and leggings?
that would make it more appropriate for a job interview in my opinion
Let's be honest, if two people show up with a similar resume and one is a random neckbeard and the other is the girl on the picture.. I know who I'll hire.
Of course it does. Dress neatly, but appropriately.
Somewhat. I mean depends on the industry, not that dress.
Yes, definitely. So don't wear what she's wearing if you want to be taken seriously.
Uhh why not?
Yes. Attire is a lot of what makes a first impression.
Of course. Even when I did video chat interviews. I always dressed professionally
Oh absolutely it can, but it also depends on the job you are applying for.
Absolutely. It can be a dealbreaker.
The way you dress is big
Ofc it does its somthing already known
Yes it does of course
Definitely if it is a public-facing position.
You look great!
110%. I believe this.
It totally does.
Way to short of interview
What if I wore leggings with it?
Obviously this isn't a serious question.
If it's a corporate job then yes 100%.
Absolutely!!!
I love that outfit
Absolutely
