Did I do something wrong?

I have to have a meeting with my HR department tomorrow morning. they found out that me and one of my managers are a couple. we started dating before she became my boss. they originally offered me the position but I told them she was better for the job. at first we tried to hide her relationship but after a while people started to notice. we have a rule that manager are not allowed to date employees under them. I believe my personal life shouldn't affect my work life. but someone told HR on me and my girlfriend and now I have to head to a meeting with HR. I may either lose my job, get suspended or may have to transfer to a different store. Even though we started dating before she became my boss did we do anything wrong?

You mention that one of the three options would be to perhaps transfer to another store. Probably not a bad idea actually if that is what happens. Keep us posted as to what happens. Working in the same environment as your S/O can be problematic so if you have to transfer it might not be a bad thing.

we work for a call center. we have two different buildings in our area

If it a Standards or Traded Company then it is likely that you are warned and next time fired. The way Costs have to be reduced with Biden, they may take the opportunity to get rid of two high salaried individuals.
