I met a guy online through a game. We became close but kept a professional in game only relationship. We both had problems with our real life partners then.
Covid came and we lost contact with each other. We both stopped playing the game but I saved his number in whatsapp. Last month, i tried messaging him and asking how he is. He was surprised and said he was happy to hear from me. He also updated me that he is now single and in a better place. I told him i’m still in a complicated position that’s why im going to travel abroad. He invited me and said I am welcome to stay with him if ever I go to France. And so I did. We met. There was a language barrier but we were able to communicate via google translate. We had the most wonderful 4 days together. He held my hand while he was driving, while we’re walking, kissed me, made me felt loved. Even gave me a parting gift. He did all the right and sweet things. Too bad I needed to go back home.
And now I noticed, he won’t message me until I message him. He still replies but they’re short and somewhat feels uninterested.
Why would he made me feel so special and say good things then suddenly become cold and distant?, why would he treat me so good If he didn’t like me in the first place? Is it possible he is still caught up with the problems of his past because he said he just got out of a 13yr relationship with his first girlfriend and just wanted to enjoy the moment while we’re together? It’s not like I want to be his girlfriend immediately, just wanted the communication and friendship to continue.
