It sounds like this just might not be the ideal job for you (I'm... hoping this is a 'job' and not something you're hoping to do long-term)
If you're someone who tends to be on the quieter side in general, and you're getting feedback from manager's and co-workers that you're "too quiet" there isn't really a whole lot you can DO about that. Different people have different personalities. Some people are more introverted, some people are more comfortable being 'loud' with the public than others.
But if you're just not BUILT that way (as someone who is comfortable being 'loud' in public as your job is pushing you to be)... then you're not really going to all-of-a-sudden become DIFFERENT from the way 'you are'. It doesn't work that way.
If it were 'easy' for you to just change, and suddenly be the way your manager and co-workers want you to be... you'd have already done it!. It's not easy. I'm not even sure it's possible.
I think that you cannot possibly do what they're asking you to do without feeling very uncomfortable about it. You're someone who keeps to herself. THat's FINE. That's no problem. But that's the way you are. There are definitely some jobs that are NOT going to be for you, because of the way you are.
I think you're going to have an unpleasant time with this whether you try and force yourself to be different than you are; but also if you keep having your manager and coworkers bug you to not be so quiet. That's a freaking nightmare.
If it's at all possible. You need to start looking for a different kind of work. This just isn't suited for you.
