My high school graduation speaker was Professor Ngügï wa Thiong'o who was, at the time, Author and Visiting Professor of English and Comparative Literature at Yale University. I confess I can remember nothing of Professor Thiong'o's address that day which, I believe, reflects more upon me than the address that morning 30 years ago.
Woah... I was just so worried about looking pretty and professional (and proper) that I don't remember! What a weird thing to remember in my opinion lol. I'm thinking it was maybe the valedictorian (male and female?) or the Principal. Anyway, my high school graduation was 21 years ago (well 20 because I repeated the first grade when I came to the U. S. from a different country).

I vividly recall what he looked like but I don't remember his name or any claim to fame. It was the usual "congratulations on this milestone in your life, the future is in your hands, get out there and do great things" gipper speech. Fortunately, it was pretty short.
Our graduation commenced with an announcement by the skool superintendent, an elected student advisor and our valedictorians, one boy and one girl; in that order. We didn’t have anyone famous or otherwise notable.
I was in boot camp and missed graduation.

Never went to the graduation, I dropped out in 2015 due to severe medical issues then was welcomed back in 2017 at 20 years old I was originally in Individualized Education Program which allows students to be able to come back until you're 21 years old and graduated through online classes. and I was able to join the graduation but preferred not to for obvious reasons.
My graduating class had 12 kids in it total. Very small school.
We couldn't afford a graduation speaker that didn't already work for the school, not that anyone would have cared who they were anyway.

We didn't have any keynote speakers at my high school graduation. We didn't even have a good ceremony because the school was so cheap!
In our country, graduating from high school is no big deal. We do not consider our kids such morons that finishing high school is an achievement. It is not even called a "graduation". We only "graduate" from College.
I haven’t graduated yet but the speaker at graduation last year was a famous real estate developer
I'm supposed to be 16, *cough*remember?*cough*
Obviously not memorable... I don't remember who it was.
He was some local guy who is big in picayune but y'all wouldn't know him if i said his name🤣
The kid that was valedictorian made a speech. I cannot remember anyone else.
No clue but I did fall asleep right before it and had a dream about smoking pot
Don’t really recall, it was quite a while ago. I am from a small rural are, so I’m certain it was just a teacher or principal.
It was probably the principal and some other people. I don’t really remember who else it was that was speaking
Well one of them was me. I was salutatorian
