What is it like?

i want to do something along the lines of construction or a labor job of sorts i have had jobs in the past like cleaning stores and stocking stuff and lifting something heavy and moving it but never a full in serious job and i want to do construction and am curious how complicated is it like i am not a fool i’m 17 and did drop out but do have a ged and i dropped out in 10th due to personal reasons i know basic math, science, social studies, and English but only thing is i struggle with more complicated math cause it has been a long time since i used it and am curious if i get a job such as construction or labor like carpentry, warehousing, stocking what are the chances i am gonna have to try to remember shit like calculus and algebra or geometry mainly asking about the construction stuff or is it more based on the lines of you get told what to do and you do it i am asking cause i don’t want to be the guy to fuck the job up or such what is y’all advice and do you think i will have any issues doing the job

I do not think you need complicated math for that. If you are the architect of a project, you might need a bit more math than those doing the actual unhands job, but even then , you hardly ever need any weird stuff they taught you in School.

constructions workers are told what to do and you follow through>

Architects are require to know some math to do the building to codes and not cause harm to those who will be using the structure/facilities/buildings etc.

Contractors also need to know some math but it's mostly basic math.
Area, Square footage and how to use measuring tape etc.

you can take classes for it and get a contractor license it's not anything too complicated like calculous, and it pays better than just being a worker. You can definitely start as a worker and work your way up so you have a better future in the field you like if construction makes you happy.

Get yourself a degree from a tech College.
