What's the one piece of advice you wish you received before you graduated High School?

It's that time of year in my neck of the woods. Which got me thinking about all the things I wish someone told me. Like: Don't get married before 28. Be your own kind of stupid/smart genius unwed for at least a decade. The 24hr Christmas Fireplace program on PBS every year is entirely too violent. Figure out what you don't want in your life first, that way you can better see what you do. Never put candles on the headboard. And, Don't start a tickle fight with your s/o that you can't win.

Aside from all that, What advice did y'all long for back then?

Don't get married young.. Never do things to please others only do things you want to do, College is completely different than high school, Focus on loving yourself not others, Just because you made your own bed doesn't mean you have to stay in it, believe in yourself you are much smarter than you think, Have fun you are only young once.

That you don't have to rush into college. To take your time in finding out what you really want to do career wise. There is no such thing as being "too late for college"

spend time with school guidance counsellor about career advice and job training and internships. about decade, bad to wait til 28 or decade just meet people and see.
