I would say it's either an intellectual quality or a moral quality or an environmental quality.

I learned in my psychology class that blessings motivate people more than punishment.

Telling your kids they will be rewarded with opportunities to buy things and meet people makes them study harder then telling them you will beat them with a belt if they don't work hard enough in school.
