I've been a hairstylist for a few years now, and though the work is rewarding sometimes I wonder if there's better options for those people who have artistic talents. What are your thoughts?
The beauty industry can definitely be a cool way to go if you're artsy and like working with people. For sure it's got some bonuses like creative freedom, meeting lots of different clients, being your own boss if you wanna own a salon someday.
But I can see why you might wonder about other options too. Like it's a hustle sometimes having to be "on" all day and deal with high maintenance clients. And standing on your feet all day can get old. Not to mention the pay ain't always amazing depending where you work.
If it was me personally, I'd probably think of branching out somehow while still using that talent. Maybe try teaching hair skills part time at a cosmetology school or doing runway styling on the side? Or even like product development for a hair brand.
That way you're still creating and making money with hair, but having a little more work-life balance and opportunities than being stuck at the same salon for years, you know? Just some thoughts - at the end of the day you gotta do what feels right for you, sis! You'll figure it out.

Artistic talents can be expressed in many ways so there's options but it doesn't mean you have to give one up for the other, although as a man that likes to see the beauty in women, I think your job plays a big part in our society, making women look their best for the person that accepts them when they look their worst right ha
it can be lucrative if approached correctly and overall safe, people always need a haircut/color/whatever.
