What's a book genre you used to didn't like but now you do?

For me it's self help. I thought it was boring. Just people boasting about their success without really knowing what the heck they're talking about but later as I began my own self improvement journey I realized that they indeed know what they're talking about and it became one of my go to genres.

History. I look for stuff that opens my eyes.

I used to only read non-fiction in high school, but now read more fiction.

I use to bash on YA but there's nothing wrong with reading YA as a fully grown adult. A lot of them are really good

I liked the Percy Jackson books a lot. Haven't read much recently been more into thrillers and adult fantasy
